The EEP breeding program for the cinereous vulture serves two major conservation goals: a) establish a long-term sustainable back-up population and b) provide individuals to support ongoing reintroduction initiatives. At present the EEP fails to meet both these goals simultaneously because of a reduced reproductive output. During this 2 day workshop worldwide experts in vulture breeding will discuss potential factors affecting the breeding success of the cinereous vulture EEP program and will revise the present Husbandry Guidelines for the cinereous vulture using the expertise of different stakeholders
